Brighthorse offers three $1,000 prizes for unpublished novels and collections of short fiction and poetry, Compose wants good writing, Rhino wants poetry and flash fiction; and Urban Farmhouse wants novellas, poetry and fiction

Biannual online publication Compose Journal is seeking literary fiction, nonfiction, poetry, feature articles and artwork for their Fall 2015 issue.

RHINO, an annual print and online journal, invites submissions for their 2016 issue. Accepts poetry, poetry in translation and flash fiction. Invites “traditional or experimental work reflecting passion, originality, artistic conviction, and a love affair with language.”

The Brighthorse Book Prize (Nebraska) honors unpublished novels, collections of short fiction, and poetry collections. Three prizes will be given in 2015: $1,000 in each category. $25 U.S. entry fee.

Urban Famhouse Press, Windsor / Detroit is a small literary press,. It’s seeking book-length manuscripts of poetry (minimum of 50 – 60 single-spaced pages of poetry); novellas (60 – 145 double-spaced pages); Cities of the Straits Chapbook series (20 – 40 double-spaced pages of poetry or fiction.
