{The stained glass in the background of the photo is my sister Cindy’s work.} I
was also interviewed on the show Live at Five on CKWS TV on November 21st.
Plus I have several book signings coming up.

Brian,
In tribute to the important part you have played
in my writing journey, I thought it was time to drop you a line and let you
know I have self-published a new book. I may be living in Florida now, but my
Ontario connection is still alive in the title Lion’s Head Deception.
I was nudged to have the setting be a fictional
city but savvy Toronto readers will see the that footprint in the story. After
all, there aren’t all that many major cities with a lakefront view.
It is great fun to stay in touch with regular
visits to Quick Brown Fox.

for free at Samshwords Markdown
for Writers (here),
Northern Music, a Guide to Canadian Folk Music on CD (here) and Recreational
Writing (here).
Markdown for Writers by Gene Wilburn, is for anyone who finds word processors complex and frustrating and wishes the mechanics of writing could be simpler.
This guide introduces Markdown, and its extension, MultiMarkdown, a system of notation that enables you to italicize, boldface, create lists and tables, enter footnotes, link to URLs, and set heading levels, all while using a plain text editor. Markdown notation can be used on every writing device available: from Mac, Windows, and Linux PCs, to tablets and smart phones. The Markdown text you create transfers flawlessly between your devices and is readily turned into PDF documents, Web pages, and ebooks in ePub and Kindle formats.
Markdown for Writers explains Markdown and MultiMarkdown syntax, and introduces you to popular Markdown text editors that help you recover the intimacy between writer and written word by removing the distractions of ribbon bars, menus, and unnecessary features. If you've been looking for a return to simplicity in your writing life, is the guide you've been waiting for.
