Intermediate Creative Writing

This course is for people who are working on their own writing. You need to have pieces to bring to class and you have to be prepared to read and give constructive comments on the pieces your classmates contribute. Besides critiquing pieces, I'll also be giving short lectures at the start of each class, focussing on teaching how to critique a piece of writing. You'll learn how to avoid common errors that drain the life from your prose. And you'll discover how to make your writing more vivid, more elegant and more powerful.
