Flash fiction contest; true stories about collections wanted; and online magazine wants new writers

Online magazine THE HILT (Toronto) is looking for nonfiction, poetry, essays, and musing for an upcoming issue about collections. “What it is to be a collector? Why is that gross sock lucky? How did you get that scar across every toe but one?” True narratives only.
Length: 500 – 1,500 words.
Deadline: August 16, 2013

Bareback is an online literary magazine that publishes short stories, poetry, art, and short thoughts. It’s very open to new writers.

Fiction: maximum of 2,500 words but shorter is better. Poetry: submit two or three poems. If you want to submit to be a featured poet, submit four or five poems.
