The Ontario Poetry Society has several contests and events coming up

Member of The OntarioPoetry Society are invited to submit 10 to 20 poems for the EnCompass Anthology Series. Work may be previously published. No entry fee, as this isn’t a contest, but if your work is chosen for inclusion, you’re expected to contribute $100 to receive 10 copies of the anthology.
Deadline August 15, 2013. Details here.

Submissions from any Ontario resident are being accepted for the Ted Plantos Memorial Award. This is a $100 award to help you publish your first book of poetry. No entry fee. Just submit five to ten samples of your poetry.

All Canadian citizens and residents are invited to submit for the Ultra-short Poetry Contest. Poems may be a maximum of eight lines, with a maximum of 8 words per line.
Entry fee: $10 for up to five poems; $2 for each additional poem.
Prizes: $100 for first, $75 for second, $50 for third, $25 for fourth, thirty-six runners-up.
All winning poems to be published in a chapbook and all winners to receive a copy.

All Canadian citizens and residents are invited to submit for the Open Heart Poetry contest. Poems may be a maximum of 36 lines and must include a heart theme.
Entry fee: $5 for the first poem; $1 for each additional poem.
Prizes: $100 grand prize plus $100 to be contributed the winner’s favourite charity. Also, 18 honourable mentions. All winning poems to be published in a chapbook and all winners to receive a copy.
