Capital Talent Agency primarily represents people working in theater, film, and television, but has recently started a literary division to represent fiction and nonfiction and also screenwriters and playwrights.

Cynthia Kane is Capital’s literary agent. She has been involved in the publishing industry for more than ten years. She has seen over 100 titles to market and has worked with Michael Gross, New York Times best-selling author, on 740 Park: The Story of the World’s Richest Apartment Building and Rogues Gallery: The Secret History of the Moguls and the Money That Made the Metropolitan Museum.

Cynthia has also written for national and international publications and has served as a writing instructor at the Writopia Lab in Washington, DC, and has run several writing workshops.  Cynthia received her B.A. in Literature from Bard College and her M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction from Sarah Lawrence College.

Cynthia is seeking young adult and children’s lit, nonfiction, memoir, and commercial fiction (but no science fiction or fantasy)
