Guelph Book Bash, Eden Mills Writers' Festival, and the launch of Rhapsody 2015

Abandoned by the Muse by Bieke Stengos,
available from Vocamus Press here.
Brian, hi.
I don't know if you will put out another newsletter before the Eden Mills Fesitval but I just wanted to let you know that I will be reading there with Vocamus Press. Vocamus Press is also having a book bash at the end of the month. And one of my poems appears in their yearly anthology, Rhapsody 2015.
Hope your summer was a nice one,
Bieke Stengos

Book Bash is an annual celebration of Guelph books presented by Friends of Vocamus Press. It’s an afternoon of music and prizes and fun in recognition of books published by Guelph and area authors over the previous year.
The 2015 edition will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 p.m. at the Red Papaya (55 Wyndham Street North, Guelph – map here) on Sunday, September 27 as part of Culture Days. Over twenty local authors will be in attendance to introduce their books, sell copies, and mingle with the audience to chat and sign their work.
The event will be hosted by local poet, actor, and visual artist Valerie Senyk, and it will include live music by local musician Ian Reid.
Along with space for the local authors to sell their books, The Bookshelf will be on hand to sell Guelph titles not represented at the event, and there will be tables by Guelph micro-publishers as well.
Book Bash 2015 will also be the launch event for The Rhapsody Anthology 2015, the annual collection of Guelph poetry and very short prose that Friends of Vocamus Press publishes to increase public awareness of Guelph authors.
There is no cost for the event, but donations will be accepted for Action Read, a charity that provides literacy programs in the community… more
