Love Letters ~ Where your fellow writers are getting published

Hi, Brian.
I'm one of your students (and followers)! I always read your useful emails and check in on your website. Thank you for all the great information. I wish I could join you at your Writers Retreat in Algoquin, but my second book, Sir John's Table: The Culinary Life and Times of Canada's First Prime Minister, is coming out September 1, 2015 with Goose Lane Editions and unbelievably I have a full roster of speaking engagements (who could have imagined that Canadians might start to take such an interest in history – it's fabulous!).
Sincerely and with gratitude,
Lindy Mechefske

Hi, Brian.
I wanted to let you know that today CommuterLit is publishing an excerpt from my novel today! Yay! It's so exciting! It's the scene where Charlotte releases the birds. So it's on the home page today. I couldn't wait to tell you.  :)
If you feel like sharing the link that would be great! I'm coming out with my *secret* about being a writer!
Also my employer has given me the month of November off as a leave without pay, so I'm hoping to do NaNoWriMo to finish my manuscript. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks again for everything. Talk to you soon.

Hi, Brian.
Today I received a notice from Canadian Stories that I have won an honorable mention for a story I wrote about three generations of teddy bears and the girls who owned them.  This was a piece that I work-shopped at a small group breakaway during our spring session of classes.
Marilyn convinced me to flip the first two paragraphs and she was absolutely right.  It really improved the flow of the story (thanks, Marilyn!).
All the best to both of you,
Sally B
