Trident Media Group is a large New York agency. It represents over 700 authors in a range of genres of fiction and nonfiction, many of whom have appeared on the New York Times Best Sellers Lists and have won major awards and prizes. For more than ten consecutive years, Publishers Market Place has ranked Trident number one for sales in North America. It’s also  strong in the UK.

Trident has two Associate Agents, and like all newish agents, they need authors.

Alexa Stark was raised in New York City and earned her B.A. in Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia, where she was an Editor of the Columbia Journal of Literary Criticism. Before coming to Trident, she interned at PEN American Center and worked at Curtis Brown as a literary assistant.   

Alexa joined Trident in 2012 to work with Ellen Levine, and she has gained invaluable experience working with Ellen's illustrious and bestselling authors. She also handles first serial rights for Ellen's authors, and has sold stories, essays, and book excerpts to The New Yorker, Harper's, Paris Review, The Atlantic, Tin House, N+1, and The New York Times, among others.  Alexa continues to work closely with Ellen Levine while building her own client list.

Alexa’s  interests are wide-ranging, but she is particularly drawn to literary fiction, upmarket commercial fiction, young adult, memoir, narrative nonfiction, popular science, cultural criticism and women’s issues.

Tara Carberry has nurtured a lifelong passion for books of all kinds. Tara completed her undergraduate degree at Bucknell University and went on to earn a Masters degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia. She subsequently held editorial positions at both Weinstein Books and W.W. Norton before coming to Trident to work for Kimberly Whalen and Erica Spellman Silverman. 

At Trident, Tara has worked closely with top agents, editors and many New York Times and internationally bestselling authors to fine tune her skills and interests. Tara is now building a client list of authors at all stages of their careers.

Tare is primarily seeking women’s commercial fiction, romance, new adult, young adult, and select nonfiction.
