Two new books: The Play of His Life by Amy Aislin and The Storks Came Back by Afiena Kamminga

Hi, Brian.
If you'll remember, I was in your creative writing class in Burlington in the summer of 2015 and I've taken several of your workshops. I just wanted to say that getting back into writing and attending your classes has motivated me to keep writing. As a result, my first book was published today, April 28, by MLR Press under my pen name, Amy Aislin. The Play of His Life is a man-on-man romance novella available at the retailers below.
And I’ve since published two more books!
A million thanks,
Amy Anastasopoulos (Amy Aislin)

Hi, Brian.
It's been a long road for my story about a boy growing up in Denmark under Nazi occupation, to evolve from an early version, some of which I submitted to you in a writing clinic you conducted in Moncton, oh, eight or so years ago, to the finished product, my novel for young readers, released last month.
I attach a little write up for this novel, titled, The Storks came Back - A Boy grows up in Denmark under Nazi occupation. You told me at the time that it needed more work, and by following your advice and the pointers you gave me (thanks!) I think I now have a better book to release to the world!
Afiena Kamminga

The Storks Came Back
In April 1940 when his country, Denmark, is invaded and occupied by Nazi Germany, seven-year-old Morten Mors has no idea how his life and that of his family and all other people in Denmark is about to change. School is interrupted. Danish resistance against the German occupiers grows stronger step by step. Morten, eager to join the local branch of the underground resistance movement, is told that he is too young to get involved. Five years later, now twelve, he is still told the same thing. The Resistance is sabotaging railway transports to prevent German troops from heading south to reinforce Hitler’s army battling the Allied on the Western front.
When a German search party is about to discover an explosives stash of the local Resistance – a discovery that would implicate Morten’s family and friends – Morten devises an ingenious plan to save the day.
The Storks Came Back can be ordered online in Print or ebook here.
