I just learned from the editor of The Ocotillo Review that he has nominated my short story The Yarnabomber for Pushcart!

Just had to share the exciting news – this has been a dream of mine for forever! Now if only my story gets into the Pushcart anthology....

Yay, Mary!! The Pushcart Prize is an extremely prestigious prize awarded by Pushcart Press. It recognizes the best "poetry, short stories, essays, memoirs, or stand-alone excerpts from novels” published in little magazines and small presses from around the world over the previous year. The winners and top nominees are published in an annual anthology. Even being nominated is a huge honor.

New Land, Same Sky by C Fong Hsiung,
published by Mawenzi House

I am so happy to tell you that my novel was acquired by Mawenzi House of Toronto in October and will be published under the title The Paper Lions on July 1, 2009. Sam Hiyate {of The Rights Factory} handled the deal.

Speaking Tiger, an Indian Publisher acquired English rights for India on November 3. They plan to publish it in the fall of 2019. Kanishka Gupte brokered the deal in association with The Rights Factory.

I want to thank you for all that I learned in your seminars that made me a better writer and recommend other writers to attend your seminars and begin to follow your blog The Quick Brown Fox.
