Einstein Literary Management is a new agency, having been launched by Susanna Einstein in 2015. It’s a small agency with just three agents - all looking for new authors. They’re based in New York City's Flatiron District and represent a broad range of literary and commercial fiction, including upmarket women's fiction, crime fiction, historical fiction, romance, and books for children, including picture books, graphic novels, middle-grade, and young adults. Einstein Literary also handles nonfiction, including cookbooks, memoir and narrative, and blog-to-book projects.

Susanna Einstein worked as an agent for ten years before launching ELM, first at LJK Literary Management and then at the Einstein Thompson Agency. She has worked in publishing since 1995, first in the publicity and editorial departments at what was then called Warner Books (now Grand Central Publishing) and then as a literary scout at Maria B. Campbell Associates.
A native New Yorker, she graduated with distinction from Northwestern University. She lives in NJ with her husband and two children. She is on the Board of Directors of the Association of Authors' Representatives and is a member of the Women's Media Group.
Susanna has a particular fondness for crime fiction, upmarket commercial women's fiction, MG and YA fiction, and narrative nonfiction. She likes a good story well told.

Susan Graham was recently promoted to full agent. Susan began assisting Susanna in 2015. Before joining Einstein Literary Management she interned at Sheldon Fogelman Agency and Donadio & Olson and was an assistant at ICM Partners. She holds a Master's Degree in Children's Literature from Simmons College, and she currently lives in Brooklyn with her two cats appropriately named Chicken and The Crocodile.
Susan's looking for children's and young adult fiction in all genres, but her favorite books are often science fiction and fantasy for middle-grade and YA.
She also enjoys picture books and graphic novels for children and is looking for illustrators who emphasize storytelling through imagery. She's particularly interested in friendships and sibling narratives, and monster protagonists are always a plus. For adults, she prefers genre and commercial fiction, especially featuring women's stories, and monster protagonists are still a plus. She especially welcomes and encourages works by and about marginalized voices.

Shana Kelly started her publishing career in the Literary Department of the William Morris Agency, where she worked for 10 years. She began in foreign rights in the New York office, and later worked out of the London office for two years. Shana was the signing agent for many successful authors, including New York Times bestseller Curtis Sittenfeld, author of Prep and Eligible.
Shana has a Bachelor of Philosophy from Miami University, and attended the University of Denver’s Publishing Institute. She currently lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband and daughter. For the past eight years, she's worked as a freelance editor and publishing consultant.
Shana is looking for novels with great writing and surprising plots – her favorite books fall between commercial and literary. She has a soft spot for well-written thrillers and psychological suspense.
