The Corvisiero Agency bills itself as a New York City boutique agency founded by Marisa A. Corvisiero. Here’s what they have to say about themselves: “This agency is a place where authors can partner with professional and experienced representation, who will value and guide them toward a successful career in publishing. We offer international literary representation and management services to fiction and non-fiction authors of all ages, for all ages, in a wide spectrum of genres. We pride ourselves in our expertise and tailor fit approach to helping authors reach their maximum potential.”
The agency has ten agents, including three who are actively looking for new authors:

Kaitlyn Johnson was recently promoted from Apprentice to Associate Agent. She received a BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College. As well as being an associate agent for Corvisiero Literary Agency, she is also a freelance editor at her own company, K. Johnson Editorial, and has worked as a copyeditor for academic publisher codeMantra, a YA editor for Accent Press, and a Conference Assistant for GrubStreet, Boston. She has written various articles for Writer's Digest and has had a flash fiction story published in the anthology A Box of Stars Beneath the Bed.
Kaitlyn is seeking upper middle grade, young adult, and new adult fiction. She is not accepting nonfiction. She particularly adores fantasy works (yes, that very much includes urban fantasy) and time travel, General Romance (erotic elements OK) and Contemporary Romance,  Historical Fiction: anything other than Henry VIII, Shakespeare, American Civil War, Greek gods/myths, Contemporary can grab her attention only if the concept is unique and well-executed. LGBT (as well as characters questioning their sexuality) welcome in all above genres
Her favorite authors/books include the following: Cornelia Funke (Inkheart series); Michael Buckley (Undertow series);  John Green (more Looking for Alaska, less An Abundance of Katherines); Gayle Forman (Just One Year and Just One Day); Lois Lowry (The Giver series); Scott O’Dell (Island of the Blue Dolphins). Her favorite tv shows are Doctor Who, Buffy, Supernatural, Firefly, basically the nerdier the fandom the better.

Include a five-page sample and a 1–2 page synopsis.

Kortney Price is an Associate Agent. She was (and still is) that person in the bookstore who recommends books to strangers based on what they're buying. When she realized that she could make a career out of helping authors and getting excited over books, she decided to pursue a career in agenting. So, after graduating with a B.A. in English from Greenville University in 2014, she started out with her first agency internship. Since then she has interned with Andrea Hurst & Associates, Amphorae Publishing Group, and Inklings Literary Agency. She was an associate agent at Holloway Literary before finding her home with Corvisiero.
Outside of her world of books and publishing, Kortney can typically be found attending musicals, meandering through art museums, watching an absurd amount of movies, pretending she understands and can teach sports at her aunt's special needs nonprofit, exploring the city, catering to her diva dog's every whim, and trying to rein in her new puppy.
Having grown up in a small town, Kortney has always valued the stories that allow readers to escape into fantastic worlds and visit far away places. She loves reading about the things she loves so stories featuring an awesome sense of humor, art and artists, antiques and old buildings, and strong and quirky families are always welcome. Because of her 15+ years working in the special needs community, Kortney is always looking for stories featuring characters with special needs. #OwnVoices and diverse books are always welcome in her inbox.

Middle Grade: Adventure or Survival stories; Mysteries –The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin or 39 Clues; Historical; Science Fiction – shenanigans on the space station or a space colony please! Steampunk; Fantasy; Contemporary – Pictures of Hollis Woods by Patricia Reilly Giff;
Graphic Novels
Young Adult: “Geeky” or “artsy” romance; Magical realism that is just dripping with atmosphere; Historical; Psychological thrillers- The Cellar by Natasha Preston; Fantasy of any kind – Atmospheric historical or retellings of unique myths, culture based high fantasy are her favorites; Science fiction – especially near future, but space opera is also welcome; Steampunk -Airborn by Kenneth Oppel and The Finishing School series by Gail Calliger
New Adult/Adult: For adult, Kortney is only looking for select sweet romances that are light and so funny she can't even stand it or romantic suspense with just a little bit of grit and a whole lot of intrigue.

Cortney Radocaj is an Agent Apprentice. She has spent her life eating and breathing literature. From the time she could hold a pen in her hand, she’s been writing everything possible, from journal entries to poetry to works of fiction. When Cortney’s not working, she spends her time spoiling her Labrador-mix, Rhaegar. She also enjoys consuming copious amounts of chocolate and binge-watching TV shows (particularly Supernatural and The Office).
As a member and advocate of both the LGBT and neurodiverse communities, Cortney adores seeing works that celebrate and normalize these experiences, particularly in YA. For Cortney, compelling characters are what grab her the most; she loves books with strong, dynamic, complex characters that have complicated and nuanced relationships with other—especially romances! She loves romantic threads that weave in seamlessly with the plot and characters’ motivations, particularly in SFF. In regard to POVs, the closer, the better; she wants to live inside characters' heads when she reads, and loves as little distance as possible. She enjoys when authors break stereotypes and tropes, and she loves when plots and characters surprise her, leaving her breathless on the edge of her seat.
Some of Cortney’s favorite books: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas; City of Bones by Cassandra Clare; The Shining and IT by Stephen King; Tithe by Holly Black; Skinned by Robin Wasserman; This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab
Cortney is seeking: YA, NA, and Adult; LGBT (particularly F/F) in all of the following genres; Neurodiversity in all of the following genres; Fantasy of all shades (dark, low, high, urban—ALL OF IT); Sci-fi (character-centered; lots of tech is fine, but focus on the characters, not the tech!); Steampunk (gritty and NOT inventor-centered; think aesthetic, atmosphere, and world building); Cyberpunk; Mythology/fairytale retellings (BE SUBTLE); Gothic fiction, particularly Southern gothic; Paranormal (but if it's vampires/werewolves, there NEEDS to be a twist or something unique!); Contemporary (needs to have a STRONG, unique hook); Horror (more psychological than gory, think The Shiningthe book, not the movie!); Magical realism
