The Harvey Klinger Agency has six agents, all actively seeking authors. The agency represents both fiction and nonfiction. In fiction, it represents everything from commercial to literary fiction, including fiction for middle grade, young adults and adults.

Cate Hart is the most recent addition to the team, having recently joined the Harvey Klinger Literary Agency after five years with Corvisiero Literary Agency as rights director and agent, representing Middle Grade to Adult fiction. Like all new agents, she needs authors.

Cate specializes in Historical fiction, whether in Young Adult, Women’s Fiction or Romance, and in Historical narrative nonfiction. She is particularly drawn to forgotten stories of the past and underrepresented voices, and especially personal to her is unexplored Southern history and culture.

Cate also loves high-concept fantasy in YA and Adult fiction. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, studying Theatre and History, Cate currently lives in Nashville with her children.

Kate is actively seeking both fiction and nonfiction projects.

In fiction, she’s looking for these categories: Historical, Commercial, Women’s fiction, Romance, Fantasy, Mystery, Psychological Thriller, Middle Grade and Young Adult.

In nonfiction, she’s looking for Narrative nonfiction, History, books about Film/TV/Theatre, Pop Culture, and music.
