“Pressing Pause” and “Exploration” by Maryann Breukelman

From http://isabellnwedin.blogspot.com/
Pressing Pause
living in the moment
of intermission
between Act One
    and Two
of this unfolding drama

being the comma
in a sentence

existing in
     and inhaling
the moment
     before
                       twilight

Exploration
the space between life and death
From avarummage
spread out
like a rocky field
blooming with daisies
and thistles

                                    humming
            humming
humming
with bees,
and busy with birds

no paths,
but fully accessible
