Note: Besides the possibility of coming first and winning a $10,000 prize, McClelland & Stewart publishes a collection of the longlisted stories in their annual The Journey Prize Stories anthology.

Hi, Brian!

I thought you'd be interested in knowing that I placed 2nd in the Toronto Start Short Story Contest. It's been a very exciting ride as you can imagine.

My only disappointment is that the reporter did not acknowledge you.  I told him that I credited both you and Humber for giving me the skills. I'm not sure why he chose to omit that detail.

Anyway, thank you for all the support you've given me. I always learning something from your courses.
