Hope all is well with you. I wanted to let you know that I submitted my “Sleep No More” personal essay to The Globe and they are going to publish it! 

It's been a goal of mine for many years to have an essay published there, so this is a big milestone for me. I wanted to thank you so much for all your help and support and for encouraging me to submit it. 

I don't know when it will be published but I will keep you posted!

Wishing you the very best of the holiday season, despite all the various restrictions on all of us.

This piece, “Christmas Eves” was published online today – a very special date as it is my daughter’s birthday, and the tenth anniversary of my sister’s death, both of which are outlined in the piece.  I workshopped this piece in one of your courses, and as always, the feedback was invaluable.

Do you remember my essay, “Winter Rose,” about my daughter’s birth? I workshopped it with you in one of our online sessions. Back then, it was about my twin passions of writing and mothering. It went through a few more iterations and then this fall, it won second place in the 2021 Doula Foundation’s Birth Writing Contest.
