Julie Barer & William Boggess of Barer Literary agency seek literary fiction and narrative nonfiction

Barer Literary
20 West 20th Street
Suite 601
New York, NY  10011

Barer Literary is a full-service boutique agency that represents both fiction and nonfiction, but with a strong emphasis on fiction.

Julie Barer started the agency in 2004, after working for six years at the Sanford J. Greenburger &Associates agency. Julie is especially interested in working with emerging writers and developing long term relationships. Her list is extremely selective, which enables her to offer her clients the attention and support they deserve.

William Boggess is the newest member of the team. He began his career at Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, before working at Barer Literary as an assistant until 2010. He was in editorial at Little, Brown for two years and has now returned to Barer Literary as an agent and client manager. He’s looking for literary fiction and narrative nonfiction.
