Liquid Silver, Ellora's Cave, HarperCollins and ImaJinn – a few publishers of women's erotica

Liquid Silver Books (http://www.liquidsilverbooks.com/) is an e-publisher, physically based in Indianapolis, that specializes in women’s erotic romance. It’s been in business since 1999 and pays 45% royalties on downloads.

Liquid Silver has recently got my attention by publishing Karen Anderson, who attends my workshop whenever I’m in North Bay. (See here.)

Liquid Silver is accepting all erotic romance genres. The editors ask for romance (not just sex), well-developed characters, a fully realized plot, vivid settings and clear dialogue. See their full submission guidelines here.

The most well-established (and probably best-paying) e-publisher of women’s erotica is Ellora’s Cave (http://www.ellorascave.com/) . Ellora’s Cave publishes a minimum of nine new titles each week in four different imprints: Romantica (erotic romance), Blush (less sexually explicit), Exotica (erotica that places more emphasis on sexual adventure) and EC (for men).

HarperCollins UK has also gotten in on the erotica trade with its Mischief imprint. See here. And there are many other e-publishers who publish women’s erotica, such as ImaJinn Books. See here.

But probably the best single step you can take toward creating a manuscript that’s ready for publication is to join one of the “Next Step” or “Intensive” creative writing courses.
