Level Best Books publishes contemporary and historical crime fiction and Young Adult Fiction.

Their Historia imprint focuses on historical mysteries (pre-1970). Their New Arc Books imprint highlights a broader range of fiction to include Romantic Suspense, Literary Fiction, Fantasy, and Science Fiction. Their Level Elevate imprint features works for younger readers. Both authors represented by agents and un-agented writers are welcome to submit.

Level Best is actively seeking submissions for their Historia imprint: mysteries, thrillers, and crime fiction novels that take place in any time period up to the 1970s. They are passionate about historical fiction and are members of the Historical Novel Society.

In fiction, New Arc is looking for Mystery, Crime Fiction, Police Procedural, Literary Fiction, Romantic Suspense, Fantasy, and Science Fiction.

In nonfiction, they’re seeking books concerning Police Procedure, Forensics, and Narrative Nonfiction.

For nonfiction, submit a proposal including the author’s biography (credentials–why you are the person to write this book, sample of prior work, presentations at seminars or conferences, media and social media presence), book synopsis, detailed table of contents, two sample chapters, estimated length of book, competitive title analysis, similar books on market and what distinguishes your book from others, outline of marketing plan and target audience.
