Hi, Brian.
It’s
official! I’ve got my cover for my second novel, The
Neighbors, and I have a confirmed pub date: MIRA Books (a
HarperCollins imprint) will bring it out in North America on March 13, 2018. The book can already be pre-ordered on all the
usual sites, too. Can’t wait to share the ARC (advance reading copies) with you
in a few months.
Thanks!
Hannah

Guelph (see here) and at the How to Build Your Story workshop Nov 25 in
Burlington (see here).

Hey, Brian.
I just
wanted to let you know that a story I started in your workshop is now up on Yellow Mama under the title “Home on the
Range” (See here.)
I can't
remember what the prompt was, but I'm sure the workshop was in Guelph with Kelley
Armstrong. Thanks again for all your help, hope to see you at the next
workshop!

Hi, Brian.
I wanted to let you know that CommuterLit has published a piece I sent them a couple of months ago called “Meet
the Teacher Night.” Needless to say, I’m very excited!
See you soon.

Hi, Brian.
I've
just had a story I wrote in your class accepted on The
Feminine Collective. One of our exercises in your summer session
was to write a story about "someone who didn't like you."
My
story, "Mr. Hamilton" has been accepted for publication. I don’t yet
know the publication date. Very exciting!
Looking
forward to our next class.
best
regards,
Jennifer Smith

Writer to Writer
Want to get together
with some fellow writers? Do you have writer’s block perhaps? Do you have
several writer’s blocks? Do you have enough writer’s blocks to build a Bridge
to Terebithia and back again? If so, this is the group for you. Bring your
story ideas, works in progress and works yet to be in progress to a weekly
writer’s group in St. Catharines. (Time and date to be announced.)
Share ideas and find
fresh motivation, inspiration for new projects. NaNoWriMo (National Novel
Writing Month) is coming up in November and this is a great opportunity to get
warmed up.
