Kt literary is  a full-service literary agency operating out of Highland Ranch in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. They are looking for “brilliant, funny, original Middle Grade and Young Adult fiction, both literary and commercial.”

Renee Nyen is the newest member of the team at KT literary. Renee spent several years in the editorial department at Random House’s Colorado division, where she worked with both bestselling and new authors. She joined KT Literary in early 2013. She makes her home in Colorado with her husband, their young daughter and “their hygienically challenged basset hound.”

Renee is seeking Young Adult and Middle Grade fiction. “I’m always interested in YA historical fiction, mystery, sci-fi, and thrillers, but genre is not as important to me as strong prose and compelling characters.”

Renee doesn't like prologues. She would like a YA set in a lesser-known time in history. “And if anyone out there has a space pirate story, it would jump to the front of my reading queue.
