New literary agent Sheri Bestor of Willow Words seeks children's lit – picture books, early readers, MG and YA

Willow Words is a new literary agency founded by Sheri Bestor. Sheri is a published author of both adult and children’s books and has also sold work to national magazines. She’s also written business content for various companies as well as curriculum for educational programs. She has earned a MA in Curriculum and Instruction, a BA in education and has over 30 years of teaching experience. She is the Founder of North Shore Academy of the Arts, a non-profit organization that offers arts programming including literary arts classes and workshops.

Like all new agents, Sheri needs authors and is looking both for first time and experienced authors. She’s seeking Children’s fiction and nonfiction – picture books, early readers, middle grade, and young adult.

Brian Henry will lead a "Writing for Children & for Young Adults," workshop with guest speaker Yasemin Ucar, Senior Editor, Kids Can Press, on Saturday, September 12, in Toronto (see here).

He’ll also lead "How to Get Published" workshops in St. John, NB, on Saturday, Oct 3 (details here), and in Hamilton on Saturday, Oct 17, with Rachel Letofsky of the Cooke Agency (see here).
