If you’ve
had a story (or a book!) published, if you’ve won or placed in a writing contest, if you’ve gotten yourself
an agent, or if you have any other news, send me an email so I can share your
success. As writers, we’re all in this together, and your good news gives us
all a boost.
Also, be sure to let
know if you're looking for a writers' group or beta readers; a notice in Quick
Brown Fox, will help you find them.

Hi, Brian.
I really hope 2022 has been kind to you so far!
I know times are challenging for all of us and I hope my
short essay, published by the CBC will resonate with you and perhaps help bring
a different perspective.
Feel free to share!

Hi, Brian!!
I hope you are doing well. I wanted to share that I
got a literary agent!!! I'm happy to report it's at a wonderful agency that
represents several cozy authors, Blue Ridge Literary Agency. My agent's name is
Carol Woien and she is fabulous!
You are a great teacher and I can't thank you enough for
everything I learned in your classes.
Cheers,

If you’d like to meet an
agent, come to an online “How to Get Published”

Shazia also has a picture book coming out with Orca. More details here. |
Hi, Brian.
I
have some good news. The picture book Flash
the Firefly that I had first drafted in your creating writing
courses, has been accepted by Literary Agent Sandy Fuller at Alps Arts Co in
Colorado.
Now,
I wait for a publisher to accept it for publishing.
Thank
you for all your wonderful workshops and courses.

Hi, Brian.
I just wanted to let you know that I have a short story
out on CommuterLit! You can find the link to “Live or Die” here.
Again, a little dark and gritty … LOL. And of course each
time I get published I have to thank you, as you’ve helped me so much this past
two years with your classes and seminars. I keep pushing through the rejections
with your encouragement. Hopefully someday I will have that novel published
too!
All the best
Cynthia Stacey

Hi, Brian.
I've recently finished my novel, THE FOURTH ELEMENT, a story in which one of the main characters is a Japanese man who has survived the atomic bombings and relocated to Oregon.
In the spirit of cultural respect, I'm now looking for a sensitivity reader who'd be willing to read my manuscript and offer input. It goes without saying that I am happy to beta read in return.
Anyone who is interested can contact me at shaunaclinning@gmail.com
Thanks for your time and help,
Shauna
