The D4EO Literary Agency is a full-service agency representing authors of a very broad range of commercial fiction and nonfiction for children, young adults, and adults. Books represented by the agency have topped the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists, and agency authors have received awards that include the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense and the Nero Award, as well as nominations for the Hugo Award, among many other notable successes. With over 3,000 published books under contract, the agency has launched the writing careers of several hundred authors.

D4EO has four literary agents, three of whom are accepting new authors:

Jana Hanson is the newest member of the team at D4EO. She’s been a book geek since the age of three when she memorized her favorite ABC book but still made her mother read it every night. She was a freelance editor and worked with several electronic publishers from 2006 until 2018 when she became an intern for Paige Wheeler at Creative Media Agency.

Prior to joining D4EO, Jana was an agent with Metamorphosis Literary Agency.

She is interested in acquiring romance, young adult, cozy mysteries, and women's fiction.

Query Jana through her Query Manager here.

Vanessa Campos was Sales and Marketing Director of Entrepreneur Press prior to joining D4EO. Now, as an agent at D4EO, she is looking to help bring more diverse voices to the business, entrepreneurship, and self-help publishing space.

Query Vanessa through her Query Manger here.

Please include your book overview, a detailed table of contents, two sample chapters, and marketing plan in .pdf format

Robert G. (Bob) Diforio spent 17 years at New American Library [Dutton / Penguin USA] in positions ranging from VP Sales to President and Publisher, Chairman and CEO. There he helped launch the paperback careers of Erica Jong, Robin Cook, Stephen King, Ken Follett, and Robert K. Tanenbaum. He opened D4EO Literary Agency in late 1989.

Bob is seeking any fiction or nonfiction work that will absolutely compel him to keep turning pages.

Query Bob at: bob@d4eo.com

For fiction, attach the complete work. Double space, Word format.

For nonfiction, attach proposal and/or Table of Contents along with sample chapters in doubled space Word format.

See D4EO’s submissions page here.
