The Elliot
Lake Writers are a vibrant group devoted to the craft,
process and joy of writing. Currently we have eighteen members. We are
pleased and honoured to have as our meeting facilitator, Kayt Lackie, PhD Creative Writing. A few of our members have met with some
publishing success. We come together to learn and to share. The art of creative
writing can be a lonely experience and it’s a pleasure to have the opportunity
to meet with kindred spirit and to offer support to one another. Writers at all
levels of expertise are welcome.
Commencing February 14th, 2018, we
will meet once a month in the meeting room of the Elliot Lake Public Library,
Pearson Plaza, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Initially we will meet the
second Wednesday afternoon of each month. However, this may vary from month to
month, depending upon the availability of the meeting room. Meetings may
sometimes be the 1st or the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Keeping in mind that the maximum attendance quota for the room is 20, new members are always welcome.
