send a query letter, a brief synopsis, and the first three chapters of their
completed manuscript (as a .doc attachment) to: bookfishbooks@gmail.com

Hi, Brian.
Could post a word about
the re-launch of Big Pond Rumours,
the literary E-zine. We received rave reviews in our earlier state, between 2006
and 2008. Then I retired the zine, as I felt overwhelmed after my father
passed. Well, now we are back and I am proud to say that we regained control of
the original website and I even have the same crew, with Brian Purdy as
Associate Editor and Shawn Drake as my techi-guru.
Big Pond Rumours
features a contest in every issue (Summer and Winter) and I have two wonderful
guest judges this time. L. M. Falcone is our Fiction judge and Don Cullen is
our Poetry Judge. The entry fee is just $7, and prizes are $100, $50 and
$20. I have posted the archives on our site so people can get an idea of what
the next issue will look like, so please visit us.
Thank you,
Sharon Berg

This sounds like such a great opportunity, to be able to enter into a publishing contest! My daughter is really interested in writing novels, and I think that she would really benefit from this. It can be difficult to get published because there are so many aspiring novelists. But by getting into a competition such as this then it makes it much easier! http://www.weecreekpress.com
