Jennifer reading from Speechless at Burlington Performing Arts Centre |
Hi, Brian.
I just wanted to blow my own horn. CBC
has named me “a writer to watch” (see here).
Also, I'm thrilled that Speechless has been nominated
for the Surrey Schools' Book of the Year 2016–2017 with this wonderful lineup!
Thank you for helping me prepare for
the fame and glory! LOL!

Spaces, see here.
Hi, Brian.
My
first paid fiction piece! “The Art of Rebellion” – one of four stories in the
“Playa” Summer 2016 issue of 1000 Words.
I
believe 1000 Words puts out two issues per year, and this is
their second-ever issue. They post a photograph and invite 250-word submissions
inspired by that issue’s image, of which they will choose four - a picture
being worth a thousand words, get it, get it?! And they pay their authors!
I notice 1000 Words is free as part of Kindle Unlimited,
if you have that – or just $1.93CDN,
$1.51US, or £1.03UK to purchase. (Sorry, didn’t look up any
other currencies!) If you don’t have an e-reader you can download Kindle for free to
almost any device or computer, I think – at
least, that’s how I got it for my Mac.
At any
rate, for those who are interested, you can check out the Playa
issue and download it here.
Cheers,

Hi,
Looking for beta readers to review an upmarket romantic suspense novel,
