Everyone welcome!
"For My Cat," Charlene Jones
I will miss the one body
soft light
in the cold upper air
I will
miss the snout, paw, maw
warmth of you/us/all
how one hand reaches
might be mine one heart beats
or sweat trickle down an arm
I long ago once thought I owned
this gift-ing, this give-ing
one morning I will remember, smile
and into the top side
rain a single sliver of gold.
