Magazine seeks fiction, poetry and nonfiction. Pays
$175-$250 for fiction, $75-$100 per work for poetry.
Third Flatiron seek Speculative fiction, Space opera, SF, physics for an anthology on the theme is "Galileo's Theme Park." Pays 6 cents/word.
Spider Magazine, published by Cricket Media, seeks stories, poems,
articles for children on theme of Over the Rainbow.
"We are looking for
LGBTQAI+ inclusive fiction, poetry, and nonfiction manuscripts. We would like
to see warm family stories, an entire story without gender pronouns, children
with different gender expressions, and gentle realistic or metaphorical coming
out stories. We are especially interested in matter-of-fact stories where being
different isn’t the heart of the story, but part of the character’s
identity."
Pays: Stories and articles: up to 25¢ per word, Poems: up to
$3.00 per line; $25.00 minimum, Activities and recipes: $75.00 flat rate.

Dear Brian,
My name is Cason and I
represent Vallum, a contemporary
poetry journal published two times per year in Montreal. Our magazine and
contributors have won some of literature’s highest honours, including the
Pulitzer Prize, Pushcart Prizes, the Griffin Poetry Prize, the Governor
General’s Award, National Magazine Awards, and a lot more.
Vallum is accepting
original and previously unpublished poetry chapbook manuscript submissions for
the Vallum Chapbook Award 2018!
Entry fee: $25
CONTEST RULES:
1. The
$25 entry fee covers 1 chapbook submission of 12-20 pages. Do not label
your chapbook with your name or address; instead include a cover letter with
all pertinent information.
2. Chapbooks
may be on any theme or subject, but must be original and not previously
published (individual poems appearing in the manuscript that have been published
elsewhere are fine).
3. The
winning chapbook will receive publication as part of the Vallum Chapbook Series
and a $300 prize, plus promotion via social media and website. Selections from
the chapbook will also be published in our print and digital magazine.
