All authors, family and friends are invited to
the Gala Award Presentation Ceremony where selected passages will be read. The
evening will be a night of celebrating the writings of John Kenneth Galbraith.
Following an evening of entertainment and refreshment, the winner will be
announced and the presentation of a large cash prize of $2,000 and a cast
pewter medallion - The John Kenneth Galbraith Literary Award - will take place.
On the reverse side of the medallion will be inscribed the winner's name and
the year. This event will be held 7 p.m. October 13, 2018, the closest
Saturday to Galbraith's birth date of October the 15, 1908, in the West Elgin
Performing Arts Theatre 199 Currie Road, Dutton.
