A new book of poetry by Barbara Ponomareff: Voices from the Playroom

Many participants in Brian Henry’s creative writing courses will know Barbara Ponomareff from when she’s come to talk to the class about her experience as an author. Barbara is a retired child psychotherapist, visual artist and writer.

Her poetry and stories have appeared in literary magazines and professional publications. She has written two novellas, A Minor Genre (Artichoke Publishing, 2003) and In the Mind’s Eye (Quattro Books, 2011).

The poems in Voices from the Playroom arose spontaneously as a result of her encounters with children in the playroom. They expand on the world of case notes by highlighting the close connection between therapy, play and creativity.

Copies of the book can be ordered through Amazon here.
