& CEO, of Sheridan College.
Please join us for the Oakville launch of The
Cook’s Temptation, a novel by Joyce Wayne. Following a brief reading from
the novel, Pat Spadafora, Director of the Sheridan Elder Research Centre, will
interview Joyce about writing, creativity and the possibilities that open to us
as we age.
Joyce writes a blog, Living in Retirement, that
appears regularly in The Globe and
Mail.
Refreshments and a book signing will take place
after the interview.

About the novel
It’s 1881. What happens when Cordelia, a Jewish
women, marries the wealthiest man in the West Country of England? At the same time, typhoid is raging throughout Devon and the
epidemic appears to be radiating from the Devil’s Stone, an ancient
country eatery in the village of Shebbear and home to Cordelia Tilley and her mismatched family.
