Magazine, a bi-weekly print poetry journal based out
of Montreal is currently seeking submissions.
Deadline: Ongoing.
Luna Station Quarterly publishes
speculative fiction written by women every three months. We think girls write
awesome characters and really cool stories and we want to show it to the world.
We will consider stories submitted by any woman writer, regardless of
experience or writing resume.
Stuff we want:
Fantasy
Science Fiction
Space Opera
New Fairy Tales (not retellings)
Some creepiness
Stories that explore the nooks and crannies of an original world
Big events from the everyman perspective
Unique settings and storytelling forms
Well written stories with strong characters
Deadline for June issue:
February 15. Then submissions for September issue start March 15 and remain

Mirror Dance is an online fantasy
magazine. They are especially interested in “secondary world stories and
stories told from diverse racial, ethnic, and religious viewpoints and actively
seeks fiction with LGBTQA themes. Currently
seeking stories and poems with the theme Animals and Humans” for their summer
issue.
Writers Union
of Canada Short Prose Competition for new writers
The winning entry will be the best Canadian work
of up to 2,500 words in the English language, fiction or nonfiction, written by
an author not yet published in book format.
Entry Fee: $29 per entry paid through
Submittable. Prize: $2,500
