The agency is famed for discovering new talent and welcomes submissions. "In fact, some of our most successful authors were discovered in our slush pile.

"If you are resident overseas (e.g., Canada) you may contact us by email. Otherwise we prefer to receive hard copy submissions in the post. If you are not sure whether we are the right agency for your work please do telephone first before sending in anything.

"For all fiction we like to see the first three chapters of your novel together with a synopsis of about a page and a cover letter including your contact details – please make sure you give a phone number – and any relevant information about you personally.

"For non-fiction an overview will suffice together with a couple of sample chapters.

"Please ensure that your manuscript is professionally presented. We try and respond to all submissions within three weeks."
