Dorothy Shoemaker Literary Awards for poetry and prose


Poet and Young Adult novelist Erin Bow will 
judge the Dorothy Shoemaker Awards this year.
As of today (October 1), the Kitchener Public Library is accepting entries for the Dorothy Shoemaker Literary Awards. Entry is free with $2400 in prize money available to be won in two categories: poetry and prose and in two age divisions: Youth (17 and under) and Adult (18 and older). 

Entrants may submit up to two poems not to exceed 55 lines each and/or one prose entry of up to 3,000 words. Winning entries will be printed in the publication The Changing Image.

Deadline: Friday, November 30, 2012.
