If you don’t
follow events in the Middle East closely, you may be under the impression that
the current war in Gaza pits the Israelis against the Palestinians. Actually
most Palestinians live in the West Bank and are governed by the Palestinian
Authority led by President Abbas. They’re not in this fight at all.
Gaza is
governed by the Hamas terrorist group, and Hamas is deeply unpopular with the people
of Gaza, the more so for having started this war with Israel – a war in
which Hamas has managed to kill more Palestinians than Israelis…
