Free contest, paying lit journal and paying anthology, plus novella contest

Entries are open for The Novella Award 2016 (UK). Prize: £1000 and publication with Sandstone Press. Length: 20,000-40,000 words. Entry fee: £17. Prize is co-produced by Manchester Metropolitan University and Liverpool John Moore’s University.
Deadline: April 29, 2016.

Free contest: PACE Canada invites entries for the Helen Sissons Canadian Children’s Story Award. Prize: $1,000. Submit a short story for young children (up to age 7) that reflects the diversity of the world’s population and values desirable in global citizens. Open to residents of Canada and the Caribbean.

Pictures and Portraits is accepting submissions for their inaugural digital and print anthology, Cause and Analysis. Seeking confessional fiction and nonfiction, with the author as narrator, about a poignant life event. It can be positive or negative, clear or unclear; just needs to be honest self-analysis. Max. 2,500 words. Pays $25 CAD per piece.
Deadline: May 15, 2016.

FTB Press seeks submissions for an anthology: The Renegades of Prose.
"With this anthology, we want to focus on you the writer. Challenge your creativity and take risks with the subject matter and style. We are not looking for a specific genre, just a unique character driven story. A story that defines the writer as a Renegade of Prose. Length between 2400-4,200 words.
"All authors will receive a contributor’s copy of the completed anthology. Royalties will be paid quarterly. The amount will be 50% of the proceeds divided evenly between all authors."
