Congratulations to Tanaz on her new book contract! And congrats also to Elizabeth, Connie, Michelle, and Georges for getting pieces published

Hi, Brian.
Summer has officially begun and I have some amazing news to share:
1) For those of you who like listening to your books, I'm happy to announce that A Girl Like That will now also be available in audiobook format! The publisher, Recorded Books, will release the audiobook on February 27, 2018 at the same time as the hardcover.

2) It's
official. My second YA contemporary novel, Last Days, First Days, will be published in winter 2019 by Farrar Straus Giroux (US, UK, Translation) and Penguin Books (Canada)! The book features two desi teens of different backgrounds – one born in the East, another in the West – who must find the courage to be who they want to be, in order to be with each other. I had a lot of fun writing this love story, which is set in my hometown of Mississauga, Canada, and very different from my first novel. More news to come! 😃

Hi, Brian.
I took your Writing With Style workshop last September, and have some happy news to share. The Ann/Randy character conflict that we brainstormed, then wrote about, during the workshop became the first draft of a short story, which I have since developed and revised.
I just learned that the tale is a finalist in the 2017 Pacific Northwest Writer's Association contest in the short story category. So thanks again for an inspiring workshop, and for helping this story get started!
Kind regards,
Elizabeth Cockle
Note: I have Writing With Style workshop coming up in Barrie on Nov 4. See here.

Hi, Brian.
I attended your workshop a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to thank you for the tip on the 50-Word Stories website. They published my first story today!
I'm so excited!
All the best,
Connie Taylor

Hi, Brian!
It's me, again!
I am thrilled to thank you for suggesting the James McIntyre Poetry Contest... I entered, and I won the Best in Dairy Category with my humorous poem, "An Acrostic Ode to the Beautiful Dairy Cow".
I have taken your advice to heart, to write a lot, and submit a lot.
I look forward to attending more workshops with you in the near future!
Thank you again,
Michelle Dinnick
The James McIntyre Poetry Contest is a great contest: not only is it free, but I’m the judge for the children’s division. Put it on your list of contests for early next year. See here.

Hi, Brian.

PS: I kept working on that story I started in your workshop many years ago.
Thank you,
