Anita Bartholomew was a longtime contributing editor for Reader's Digest, focusing on narrative nonfiction. On the book side of the business, she's been an editorial consultant and book doctor for numerous works of fiction and nonfiction, and has co-authored a historical novel (as a ghost) for an independent film company. Most recently, she co-authored a doctor's memoir that sold at auction, and is scheduled for Fall 2010 publication. She joined Salkind Literary as a literary agent in 2010. She also has her own personal website.
Acquisition interests:
Commercial Fiction: mystery/suspense, historical, courtroom/legal thrillers, detective, paranormal, YA and middle-grade. No picture books.
Narrative Non-Fiction: memoir, history, science (expert-authored), biography, inspirational/dramatic true story, current affairs, culture, politics/policy.
Prescriptive Non-Fiction: expert-authored health/medical, and other expert-authored works, written for a consumer audience.
