If you’ve had a story (or a book!) published, if you’ve won or placed in a writing contest, if you’ve gotten yourself an agent, or if you have any other news, send me an email so I can share your success. And be sure to let know if you're looking for a writers' group or beta readers; a notice in Quick Brown Fox, will help you find them.
Hi, Brian.
I'm so happy to share some
good news. In 2020, I won the Muskoka Novel Marathon with my YA novel, The Sound of a Rainbow. I've just signed a contract with Latitude 46 Publishing to publish the
book, aiming for a 2023 release. Many thanks to the organizers at the Muskoka
Novel Marathon and Latitude 46!

Hi, Brian.
I had a short piece titled “Finding
Kindness In An Overgrown Lawn” published in Acts of Kindness (Pandemonium Publishing). Acts
of Kindness is “a collaborative work among many authors.”

Hi, Brian.
I took an all-day course from you at the Bolton library three years
ago. The cost: about $50. A good investment.
Because now I have a novel, Good Man
Gone, a domestic suspense psychological crime
thriller (covering a few bases), available in all formats from most retailers.
I have attached the cover. The book garnered a glowing review in Kirkus
Reviews, the review concluding, “An entertaining, well-written, and smart crime
tale: An excellent read.”
Advance reader reviews indicates it keeps you on your toes and in
your chair.
Many thanks for sharing this with my fellow scribes.
All the Best,
Peter McPhie

Hi, Brian.
My
manuscript, Two Dead Poets, that I reworked with you in the Intensive
Creative Writing Class, was given first place in the Writers Federation of New
Brunswick Creative Non-Fiction Award. I have said before, working with you has
really turned my writing around, and I deeply appreciate the help you have
given me and the help you continue to give.
With
all best wishes and many, many thanks,
